Out o' the Clouds (Cloudy)
2008, 16.1 OTTB Mare
USEA 164457
Cloudy is a forward thinking, athletic eventer with experience up to Training level. On the flat, Cloudy has three lovely gates and is easily schooling movements including leg yield, half pass, shoulder & haunches in/out, counter canter, medium trot/canter, and has the beginning work for flying changes.
Cloudy excels in cross country and has never had a jump penalty. She does it all including banks, water, ditches and trakehners. In show jumping, she is forward thinking and sensitive, but extremely careful and self-sufficient to find a spot. She requires a relaxed, soft handed rider who has a quiet personality who is able to put emotions to the side when riding and showing. She does not stop. No kick, buck or rear.
She is good to trailer, groom, clip, bathe, and behaves for the farrier and vet. Cloudy currently is turned out alone, but has been turned out with other mares and geldings previously and was fine. She requires some maintenance, which she is up to date on, and is also up to date on vaccines, coggins, etc. She has great feet; she currently wears four shoes (due to being in full work) but can handle two fronts.
Cloudy has the talent, scope and training for the top levels in the hands of a professional or quiet, relaxed amateur working with a professional. She could also be a great Fox Hunter due to her excellence on cross country, but would need to be introduced and evaluated for her place in the field. She excels in a full time program and with frequent outings.
Cloudy most recently competed at Full Gallop’s January recognized HT at BN and placed 2nd on her Dressage score of 31.4 (after nearly a year off from showing due to her owners finances) and in the Open Novice division at the Sporting Days March HT. While she has not been in the show ring a ton over the last two years, she has been in a consistent work schedule with owner and/or trainer riding 4-6 days a week.
Cloudy is offered due to her owner’s new work schedule and financial misfortune and is priced to sell at $8,000. Contact Hailey Beaver at (443)310-6693.
